Intuit Spheres

Is there a trick to downloading this app for the Mac? I tried several times and when entering my email address it tells me that it is invalid. I’d really like to use this app so any feedback or answers is greatly appreciated. Thanks, all.

Kathleen,
There isn't any trick to using it on a Mac. It should work just as well as a PC.
It could be something with your email address that is making it now work.
Do you have an alternative email you could try?

Intuit Spheres

The files (that other people have uploaded) stay within the Spheres cloud until you download them. At this point, you'd save them to your local drive and could access either from Spheres or from your personal drive. does this help?

Intuit Spheres

Do the files you put on Spheres stay on a local drive or on a remote location within Spheres?

Intuit Spheres

How can I try this app out? Thanks!

Intuit Spheres

Hi Estela, glad you're interested!

You can go to http://www.intuitspheres.com/ to get a beta invite. You'll then receive an email (not immediately, but same day) with a link to set up an account and download Spheres. The sign up process is a little sticky still, so feel free to respond here if you have questions!

Intuit Spheres

I want to try this. I'm doing lots of research into the "cloud" so this is kind of a tangent. 2nd request. I saw email error just as I hit submit on the first try. Sorry :|

Intuit Spheres

Hey Clark - I saw you requested an invite today. You should be approved. Just follow the link within the email to download Spheres. Our sign up process is still a bit buggy (as you found out :), so feel free to reach out to me if you have issues. Thanks! (kristen_berman@intuit.com)

Intuit Spheres

I'd love to try it too. Sign me up.

Google Wave (announced yesterday, 5/28 - http://wave.google.com/) looks a lot like Intuit Spheres. What's the key differentiator for Spheres?

Intuit Spheres

How do you serve up files and email messages to users outside Intuit without the 2-factor authentication Security requires on our other file sharing back office applications?

Intuit Spheres

Kathy,
Great to hear you like the application.

This feature already exists.
If you have created a sphere, you can right click on it in your list and choose the option 'remove sphere' to delete it. You can only delete spheres that you have created though.

Intuit Spheres

This is a great idea and very user friendly! I hate searching for all the emails related to a certain topic and the forms associated with it.

At this time there appears to not be a way to delete a Sphere. Is that a feature coming in the future?

Intuit Spheres

What would be the size limit on the file share? Looks Great!!!

Intuit Spheres

I would like to try using this to share information with the IFID Sales team. Will this be secure between only people at Intuit?

Intuit Spheres

Jim,

Spheres is secure between whomever you invite into the spheres you use.
If you only invite Intuit users, then only they will be able to share docs and communications with you.
If you invite people outside intuit, they will be able to see the same stuff.

Can you either pass me your email address, or sign-up yourself at www.intuitspheres.com?

Thanks,
Nick

I work in QBO support as a full-time remote leader and we have an ever growing conglomoration of erooms quickbases, adobe meetingrooms and chatrooms etc to manage communication. I'd like to try this with a few of my peers to see how it does.

Intuit Spheres

The description sounds like it would be useful evaluating subs, editing, and keeping track of where a book is in the publishing track.

Would definitely be interested in trying it out.

Intuit Spheres

I'd be interested in trying out this app

Intuit Spheres

Me too...

Intuit Spheres

I would love to try out your app
